My Meal Plan -Week of November 4th

November 5, 2012

Happy Monday! We had a really good weekend, well, with the exception of what happened on The Walking Dead.

If you have no idea what I’m talking about, feel free to skip ahead.

Anyway, can you believe that they killed off T-Dog and Lori?!! I mean, there was a point during the show where I looked at my husband and said “something really bad is about to happen”, and sure enough it did. I just had no idea how bad.

I do have to say that T-Dog went out in a blaze of gory. Get it? Blaze of gory instead of glory? Ha! I amuse myself. I will really miss T-Dog’s character on the show and Lori’s too. I certainly had no idea that the show was going to lose two main characters last night.  We were just STUNNED! Of course, that’s the genius of the show. It’s not predictable. It is a comic book series (the show does deviate from the comic book some apparently), which I had absolutely no idea about until the show The Talking Dead started last season. I’m not into comic books, zombie or gory shows for that matter, but this show is one of our favorites. It’s the best zombie show I’ve ever seen.

Can you tell I really get into my favorite shows? I also get really upset when I get into a show, start liking it, then it gets cancelled. Especially, when lame shows like the Simpson’s and Family Guy run for years. What’s up with that?

Okay, on to the whole point of this post. I’ve come up with a meal plan for this week. I haven’t done one in the last few weeks, and we’ve made more trips to the grocery store than we would have if I’d done it. Saves us so much money when I do plan ahead.

Monday

Mustard Lime Chicken with Cauliflower Rice

Tuesday

Lunch: Leftover Mustard Lime Chicken and Cauliflower Rice
Dinner: Grass-fed beef patties w/ carmelized onions and steamed brocoli

Wednesday

Lunch: Italian Sausage and Kale Soup
Dinner: Salmon Sweet Potato Cakes w/ steamed veggies

Thursday

Lunch: Leftover soup
Dinner: Buffalo Chicken Chili (minus the barley)

Friday

Lunch: Leftover chili
Pizza w/ Original Cauliflower Pizza Crust

Saturday

Not sure at this point what our plans will-may be running a 10k race that morning, so not sure where we’ll be.

Do you ever get really into shows like we do?
