Olay Total Effects Nourishing Cream Cleanser

I have searched high and low to find a facial cleanser that would clean, but not dry out my skin. My skin is dry and slightly sensitive.  Slightly sensitive meaning that I can’t use facial cleansers with glycolic acid in them, but I don’t have a problem using a gentle scrub and certain facial peels occasionally.

I purchased the Olay Total Effects Nourishing Cream Cleanser about a month ago. Now, I can usually tell pretty quickly if a cleanser is going to work for me or not, but I wanted to give this one more time just so I could be sure that it was as good as my first impression. I not only wanted to make sure that it didn’t dry out my skin, but also that I didn’t end up with a major break out because it wasn’t effectively cleansing my skin.

It has passed the test with flying colors so far. Now, the company claims that this has anti-aging benefits like minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, which would be great, but I’m not expecting miracles from my facial cleanser.  My face does feel smoother, and it seems to be minimizing the appearance of my pores – other product claims.  I am just happy that I found a cleanser that cleans well without drying out my skin.

There is no one product that is going to work for everyone. I am not a skin expert – I just know that this works for me right now. If something works for me I like to pass that on to others that may be searching for that ‘perfect’ cleanser. You never know if something is going to work for you until you try it.

If you do decide to purchase this cleanser, make sure that you get the Total Effects Nourishing Cream Cleanser, and not the Revitalizing Foaming Cleanser. Their bottles look very similar.

*Note* I purchased this product myself, and this is my own personal opinion of it – not a paid endorsement.
