If there is one word to describe Napa Valley, it would have to be breathtaking. The rolling hillsides and lush vineyards are incredibly picturesque.
We spent the day driving around Napa Valley tasting wines, and admiring the beautiful scenery all around us.
Sterling Vineyards offers the unique experience of an aerial tram ride up the hill to the winery.
The architecture of the winery was modeled after the Greek island of Mykonos. The eight bells housed in the towers of the winery are from London’s Church of St. Dunstans-in-the-East.
We took in the stunning views of the valley from the patio while tasting the fabulous wine offerings. The tour of the winery is self-guided so guests can take their time learning about the wine making process.
A friend had suggested that we visit the V. Sattui Winery.
Their wines are sold exclusively here at the winery. After tasting some wines, we checked out the gourmet foods in their market place. We purchased items for a picnic lunch, and ate outside on the lovely grounds.
Our time in Napa was a wonderful experience. We were there on our wedding anniversary, and I couldn’t imagine a better place to have celebrated it.
