Low-Carb Diet (Day 9) – Sweet Temptations

Just in case you are new here, or haven’t been here in a while, you may be wondering what’s up with all of the low-carb posts. If so, you may want to go back and read my post on the new focus of my blog, where I detail why we are currently on a low-carb diet.

We started our day with “sunny side up” eggs and a small bowl of cantaloupe. I have been craving cantaloupe the last couple of days, so I had to grab some when we were at the store last night. It was perfectly sweet and delicious!

Lunch: Leftover cheeseburger pie and steamed broccoli. The cheeseburger pie was even better today.

Snack of the day: avocado dip with celery sticks. Again. We just can’t get enough of this dip.

We were both in need of caffeine a little while later, so we headed over to Dunkin Donuts to grab some coffee and do a little work/blogging there. The last few times we’ve gotten coffee it has been at Starbucks, so we decided to get Dunkin Donuts for a change. I love my Starbucks, but DD’s coffee comes in at a close second.

The nice thing about Starbucks is that it doesn’t come with the intoxicating, and oh so tempting, smell of fresh donuts.

Oh, and it’s not usually attached to one of these.

We were surrounded by sweet temptations!

Rest assured, I didn’t give into it, but man, those donuts sure smelled good!

When we got home, I got so wrapped up in working on a project that I am helping my mom with, that I didn’t realize how late it had gotten. I had planned on making something different for dinner, but my husband said that he was just fine with cheeseburger pie leftovers again. A night off from cooking? Fine by me! 🙂

Where is your favorite place to grab a cup of coffee?
