I always enjoy reading other people’s “random things about me” lists, so I thought it would be a little fun to do one of my own today.
1. On my first day behind the wheel of the drivers ed. car, I ended in up in someone’s front yard. True story. I was making a right turn, and in trying to do the whole hand over hand steering thing that we were taught to do, I didn’t get the wheels straightened in time. I now let the wheel spin back by itself. Safer that way. For me and the landscaping.
2. I can pretty much recite the movie Gone with the Wind line for line. It’s my favorite movie, and I’m pretty sure that this knowledge will help me someday. Maybe not today, but maybe tomorrow. “After all, tomorrow is another day”. 🙂
3. I have a small red birthmark in between my eyebrows.
4. My very first job was at McDonald’s. Yep, I was a burger flipper. I even got to meet Ronald McDonald once. Don’t be jealous. 😉
5. I have fallen off of a horse twice in my lifetime. Once as a child, and once as an adult. In case you’re wondering, things like that hurt much worse when you’re older.
6. I am a kindergarten drop-out. That’s right, my mom let me drop out of school at the ripe old age of five. I had kind of a bad teacher, and I was so miserable that my mom took me out of school and home schooled me that year. Don’t worry, I still obviously managed to learn my alphabet. Let’s see it’s A B..uh..C…uh…E?
7. I don’t like mushrooms. I’ve tried to like them, but I just can’t. My husband, on the other hand, loves them. If we buy a frozen pizza that has them on it, I pick them off my side and give them to him.
8. I am really bad at Math. Algebra will never make sense to me. My husband, Mr. Valedictorian, is great at Math. That’s partly why I married him. Not good at something? Marry someone who is, I say. 😉
9. I’m a big Elvis Presley fan. I grew up listening to the oldies, but Elvis will always be my favorite.
10. I tend to get cranky when I haven’t eaten in a while. My husband calls it cranky hungry.
11. I love to sing. I grew up singing in the choir at church and school.
12. I can’t dance. Period.
13. I have a slight fear of the dark.
14. I love the combination of peanut butter and pickles together.
15. I had a poster of Pierce Brosnan as Remington Steele on my wall when I was ten. I may or may not have kissed him goodnight before going to sleep.
