During a trip out to Amarillo we decided to check out Cadillac Ranch. I know some of you may wonder why any one would want to go check out a bunch of old, rusty cars in the middle of a field. I don’t really know why. It is just one of those things that you have to do when you are in Amarillo.
Parking on the shoulder of the road, we walked up a short dirt road leading to where the Cadillacs are jutting straight out of the ground. Spray paint cans litter the ground left by previous visitors who had signed their names as a forever reminder that they were there. Forever at least, until the next spray painting visitor comes along.
I won’t say that it is one of those places that you just have to see before you die, but if you are ever in Amarillo or close by, you should check it out. If for no other reason than to be able to say that you have been to the famous Cadillac Ranch in Texas!
