A White Christmas!

Hey guys! I hope that you all had a wonderful Christmas with your families! We had already celebrated Christmas with both sides of our family, so we spent the day here at home together. Spending Christmas Day alone together is something that we have really grown to enjoy.

Around 2 A.M. on Christmas Eve, some thunderstorms rolled in, and it rained pretty much all night and all morning. Then it began to sleet, and that was followed up by snow! Yes, we ended up having a White Christmas!

The weather guy had been saying all week that there was a small possiblity, but I didn’t really think that we would get enough to accumulate at all. Well, it just kept snowing and snowing. Later in the afternoon, we decided to brave the cold and get out and play in the snow a little bit. I couldn’t find the detachable hood to my jacket, so I put on my Showdown Half cap that I got a couple of months ago. My first time to wear it, and it was for a snow day!

It’s been years since I’ve built a snowman. I was a little rusty.

This snow wouldn’t hold together at all. We somehow managed to kind of form a very sad version of a tiny snowman. Not my best work, but I still think he’s cute, in a pathetic kind of way. 🙂

The wind was blowing pretty hard and it was SO cold that I didn’t want to stay out there too long. My husband decided to walk around the neighborhood to get a few pics of the snow.

It was so awesome to have snow on Christmas Day, but I will be very happy when it warms back up enough to go running outside again. Seriously missing our gym membership this winter. When the temps dip below 55°,  it’s a little tougher to want to get out there and run. I am SO not a cold weather person.

Did you have a White Christmas where you live?
