Christmas is just around the corner. Who’s finished all of their shopping? Are you an online shopper or do you love going to the mall to buy your gifts? I kind of like a little of both. I still like actually seeing something in person at the store, even if I do end up buying online. If you are looking for some Christmas gift ideas for the home cook in your life, I have some really great ones below. There are some really budget friendly options and a couple of splurge items. Many of the items are things that I currently own and personally love and recommend. Happy shopping!
1. Tovolo Better Batter Tool

I found mine at HomeGoods for $1.99, so you can check there to save some $. Color selection and availability will vary from store to store, of course. Pair it with a couple of nice dish towels for an easy gift or use it as a stocking stuffer!
2. Oliver & Kline Narrow Measuring Spoons 
This measuring spoons would make a great stocking stuffer. Any cook would appreciate the fact that these spoons actually fit into spice jars!
3. Lodge Cast Iron Skillet
I’ve already mentioned that the cast iron skillet I use is one that I got from my mom. Since, I’ve gotten it, I’ve made several batches of skillet cornbread and frittatas. I absolutely love it and think every home cook should have at least one in their kitchen.
4. Cuisinart Smart Stick Hand Blender
I’ve had this immersion blender for a few years and just love using it! It works great for pureeing soups and even making smoothies. Super handy tool!
5. Crock-Pot 5-Quart Digital Slow Cooker
This slow cooker honestly cooks the best out of the three I’ve owned. You wouldn’t think that there could be such a huge difference in slow cookers, but there really is. I love the programmable features and that it has a warm setting. When the cook time has finished, it automatically switches over to warm. If you know a busy family, who is looking to start eating at home more often in the new year, this would make a great gift!
6. Berard Olive-Wood Salt Keeper
This handcrafted salt keeper will hold up to half a pound of salt. It’s designed in France and made in Tunisia. The wood comes from sustainably managed forest and no two pieces are exactly alike. It’s not only a practical gift, but a beautiful one as well!
7. Emile Henry Modern Classics Ramekins
I have a set of four Emile Henry ramekins, and they are quality pieces. I love making my Mexican Baked Eggs in them. They are Made in France, which for me, makes them somehow automatically more impressive. Ha! I love anytime I can find good Made in USA kitchenware, but the French are amazing when it comes to quality cookware and bakeware.
8. Anchor Hocking Bake ‘N’ Store Dishes
I have all three sizes, including two of the five-cup capacity, of the Anchor Hocking Bake ‘N’ Store dishes. They are my favorite dishes for storing leftovers. I really like the fact that the lids are made of glass and not plastic. They do sell some now that have silicone gaskets around the glass lids, but mine are just the plain glass kind. You could give a set of these or pick a couple of them out to give as a gift. They would also make a great wedding gift. Bonus points for being Made in USA!
9. Staub 10″ American Grill Pan
I happened to get really lucky to find one of these in near perfect condition at a local thrift store. Can you believe someone would dump a piece of Staub cookware like that?! Oh, well! Their loss is my gain! The one I have is in the color Graphite, but the cobalt blue and red ones are simply gorgeous! I love using mine to grill chicken breast for a quick dinner!
10. Cuisinart Electronic Yogurt Maker
Now this is a gift real food cooks would really appreciate! Making your own yogurt with your choice of milk and flavorings is pretty awesome! This machine makes more than six 8oz. servings of yogurt.
11. Staub 5 Quart Round Cocotte
I have an oval 4-quart dutch oven that is from a less expensive line that Staub came out with some time ago and no longer available, I believe. Based on the two pieces I have, I’m a big fan of Staub cookware. They are without a doubt pricey, but will last for years and years if well taken care of.
12. KitchenAid Artisan Mini Mixer
This is an item that I don’t currently own, but it’s an item on my wish list. I don’t currently bake enough to justify the cost, but if you have an avid baker in your life, I’m sure they would love to get this! Plus, it would kind of be a gift for yourself because you get to enjoy the treats! 🙂 This stand mixer is 25% lighter and 20% smaller than KitchenAid’s other stand mixers. Although it is smaller, the bowl can still make up to five dozen cookies. Also, just like with their other stand mixers, special attachments can be purchased.
